Control

I knew a man one time who went to a general meeting and his pastor pulled him aside and said" Look at the platform .Do you see any men on that platform with their hair parted down the middle like yours?" I was not there but lets see there were bald men, men with comb overs,some combed straight back and parted to the side but none parted down the middle. Probably a coincidence since God created us all different. This pastor was using peer pressure as a form of control over this man.
When it comes to spirit led teaching of the Word of God concerning holiness, we should allow the Holy Ghost to operate.The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword......
The goodness of God that leads to repentance. Because God is love he is only motivated by love to deal with our hearts. He will change us into his likeness because he promised he would if we would believe by faith not because we succumb to some sort of manipulative condemnation.

Man uses these three forms of control to get people to conform: manipulation,domination and when all else fails intimidation. These fear tactics are all a form of sorcery and witchcraft to subject you yo its bondage by fear. If you are in a church whose minister uses fear tactics as a form of control you are in a dangerous place. Pray and ask the Lord to show you how to remove this influence out of your life so you can prosper and flourish in him and be the son or daughter he wants you to be and and not a puppet that man wants you to be.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Jesus Christ who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. The flesh here is talking about fleshly carnal ordinances that have no efficacy in the removal of sin out of your life.
I believe the ministry has an important role in the church. To teach the members of the Body how to properly honor the head,not become their head.

asian invasion

I live in a community outside Little Rock called East End. The community has several convenience stores ,2 hardware stores , a sonic, Harvest Food Grocery Store and now a Chinese food restaurant. We ate and this establishment and like most it was a buffet and like most it just wasn't the Chinese food I remember eating as a kid.

I remember it was a treat to go eat Chinese food. The restaurants were always ran by REAL Chinese people not,Thais,Vietnamese nor other Asians. Never a buffet but fresh dishes that we all shared. Sharing Chinese food was an integral part of the experience along with hot oolong tea. Now you go to a so called Chinese food restaurant all you get is all you can eat semi par food.

Now, many of the new Chinese food establishments are not being managed by Chinese at all but other Asian people. The authenticity of food from China has been watered down. The question is where do all these Asians come from and how do they do it. I feel like Estelle Costanza who received advice based on Confucius from What she perceived to be a Chinese woman named Donna Chang only to find out it was just some girl from Long Island.I feel duped ! Earl Haffel had a deal with Kramer to have Cubans hand wrap cigars for them in their new business venture only to realize he was getting Dominicans. I don't want a Chinese egg-roll with a Vietnamese wrapper.

We are being invaded by phony so called Chinese food restaurants with phony Chinese people and you've been warned.

I know everyone has been on pins and needles waiting to see what Mike thinks . Well you will never know because I just titled it what I did just to get you to read my post because I am trying to get readers and we all know it's all about the headlines.

Great Birthday!

I celebrated my 41st birthday yesterday and what a birthday it was. I spent the whole day at the church with my natural family and my church family. We had two wonderful services ,worshiping the Lord ,Feasting on his word and drinking from the fountain. That's real communion.
I reflected on my life and counted my blessings,the things he has given me to fulfill my life. I have two great parents who love me and always led a great example of a life in service to the kingdom. A wonderful spouse who loves and takes care of me and is truly a help meet. Three great kids who have never got into any trouble and are filled with Holy Ghost and are in the Lord's service.

A friend of mine who made about 10 times the money I was making at the time told me "Mike your the richest guy I know" . I was making about $25,000 a year and lived in a double wide mobile home with two wore out cars yet I was rich beyond measure. When it came to the natural we barely got by but I was and still am in abundance when it comes to priceless treasures. Jesus told us to lay up treasure in heaven where moth and dust do not corrupt.

Father, I thank you for a wonderful birthday it was wonderful. Your family sure does know how to celebrate. Oh it was a nice touch with the Cowboys win too. I didn't even ask for that but you knew.

I have read many blogs and most I read have an agenda for but mostly against something. I am new at this but I would like take a crack at not addressing hot button topics but share with you all the awesome things God is doing in my life and my friends life.
